I began in the radiant industry in 1995 after graduating from Dunwoody Institute with a degree in HVAC design. My first position was with a leading wholesale supply house in Minneapolis, MN, doing all the hydronic and radiant floor designs and purchasing of hydronic products. This position introduced me to radiant floor heating and hydronics and sparked an appetite for knowledge in this market. I pursued additional educational opportunities with contractors, using my down time from the office to learn the radiant industry from manufacturing to installation. I have assisted contractors with install jobs ranging from small residential to large commercial buildings, provided technical support and trained them in design to installation. I then moved to a position as technical and design manager for a national radiant floor heating manufacturer; and then worked my way into a Midwest regional sales manager position with this manufacturer.
When I took this position it gave me the opportunity to learn from and work with manufacturer’s reps, wholesalers, engineers, and mechanical contractors; which in turn, led me to absorb and learn the radiant floor heating market. I then began with MrPex® Systems in 2003 as the national sales manager to develop the market nationally. When I started with the company, it was in its infancy. I have since then developed, worked and succeeded in getting MrPex® Systems to a leading manufacturer and supplier in the North American market. This endeavor has been extremely exciting and I have been very fortunate to meet many associates within this market segment. My experience in this industry is comprehensive and I have a passion for the radiant floor heating market. I will continually push myself to expand my knowledge.
